Our New Expanded Tasting Room

At last night’s VIP preview event for our new release of 9 year old cask strength Three Chamber Still rye whiskey, we unveiled another project that has been near and dear to our hearts over the past year: our newly expanded tasting room, bar, and lounge area.

Formerly our malting floor, then an additional storage area once we built the new malting floor next door, we decided almost a year ago that we’d like to start doing more hospitality at Leopold Bros. Some of you might recall that our original location in Ann Arbor was constantly packed with locals just looking for a cool place to hang out. Those memories have made us a bit nostalgic as of late, so we set out to create a new community center on our side of Denver.

Rather than hire contractors to do the work, however, our own production team here at the distillery (aka our distillers!) set out to do the work in-house. By watching YouTube videos, repurposing materials around the building, and talking to experts in woodworking and other trade skills, they built this entire bar by hand—including the tables and the shuffleboard! The fact that our own team put this entire project together made it even more special, and we look forward to its continued evolution over the next few months.

Our catering station also allows for licensed caterers in the area to come in and host different food events, and our new retail selection (coming soon) will allow visitors to select from a carefully curated selection of fine groceries and accoutrements while sipping on a cocktail. We’re looking forward to hosting you in the near future! Please come by and check it out!
