Todd has been on the road nonstop over the past month, spreading the joy of our low-intervention, sulfur-free, unfiltered, natural vinegars and we’ve been absolutely pummeled by restaurant orders. You may have noticed the photo of our new large format bottles on social media! We had to pump up the volume fast because we weren’t expecting the demand from chefs and restaurateurs so quickly.
That demand wiped out all of our available inventory, which delayed the implementation of the website. Over the last month, however, we’ve been able to make new batches of our three core vinegars now for sale online.
As you likely already know, each batch of vinegar is an incredibly slow labor of love. It takes a month or longer to trickle each component through beechwood chips using the Schützenbach method, which is what makes these vinegars so incredibly flavorful. Todd’s dedication to heritage methods is 100% about flavor intensity, which is why there’s no fining or filtration. Why would we want to suck out all that delicious concentration we worked so hard to achieve?!
A big thank you to all the Leopold Bros fans out there for waiting patiently while we built up our vinegar back stock. I can promise: you will not be disappointed by the results.
